After studying photography in LaGrange Georgia I enjoyed a career focusing on the music industry, and later, weddings. With the birth of my first son I began to work more in commercial images for the sake of more regular hours, while chasing him around with my camera in my spare time. After the birth of each of my children it became more and more clear that baby photography and newborn photography was where my heart was.
With over 15 years of experience in photography I understand the importance of a quality image. My focus is in the details, the true feeling of the moment. As a mother of three, I know how much we want to remember our baby’s soulful eyes, the softness of their skin.
As I looked into embarking on a change of focus, it became clear to me that there was a serious lack of middle ground in the photography business. It is difficult to find anyone with a solid background in photography willing to work for less than a staggering amount. The only alternative seemed to be dragging a baby out to the mall or discount store and exposing them to germs and tacky props. Once you pay for the over priced portraits, what seemed like a bargain in the beginning can still run you hundreds of dollars.
Peanut Pics was founded with the idea of providing high quality portraits that anyone can afford. Since you receive all of the images on CD, how you print them and how much you spend is up to you. The session takes place at the location of you’re choosing, allowing you and your baby to be totally comfortable, and surrounded by your own special things. And above all else, since we only work with babies, we are both sensitive and flexible to their needs.
